Their laws, beliefs
One thing they believe in are The Ten Commandments of God
The Church is the congregation of all baptized persons united in the same true faith, the same sacrifice, and the same sacraments, under the authority of the Sovereign Pontiff( a former title of the pagan high priest at Rome, later used of popes and occasionally of other bishops, and now confined exclusively to the pope) and the bishops in communion with him.
We find the chief truths taught by Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church in the Apostles' Creed:
"I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried:
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead:
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead:
I believe in the Holy Ghost:
I believe in the holy catholic church:
The communion of saints:
The forgiveness of sins:
The resurrection of the body:
And the life everlasting. Amen."
- I am the Lord your God; you shall not have strange gods before me.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
- Remember to keep holy the Lord's day
- Honor your father and your mother.
- You shall not kill.
- You shall not commit adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
- You shall not covet you neighbor's goods.
